Went for afternoon tea, food was lovely and staff couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and welcoming. The afternoon tea was better than some of the hotels. Well worth the money.
Truly hidden… but what a gem!!! My friend treated me to breakfast here today and it was so lovely that we stayed for another pot of tea. Great customer service, will definitely visit again.
Having not visited the tea room since it was owned by the previous owners we have gone today for some lunch. We had a plowmans platter and a grazers platter and can honestly say it was amazing and would highly recommend them. Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely outdoor seating. We will defiantly be coming again to sample the cakes .
We called in here on the way to work for a quick full English. The food was excellent, as was the service. It’s worth noting that you park in a big corner carpark, immediately after you’ve turned off the main road, and not near where google maps tells you to go… that’s the tiny staff entrance! They also had some amazing lemon meringue pie, but I didn’t have time to eat any.
We have visited for our first time today! We had afternoon tea for 2 Usually you have to give 24hrs notice for the afternoon tea’s but when I called this morning they said they could do it and asked if it was for a special occasion. When we arrived they had put a banner on our table for our anniversary The food was absolutely delicious ( best cakes I have had in a long time! no mr Kipling in sight ha ) Customer service 10/10 which is sometimes hard to come by. Will definitely be returning. Thanks again for accommodating at such short notice
Had a fabulous lunch stop at The Hidden Tearoom on our way to Durham. Warm welcome, homemade hearty food of big portions. Highly recommend.
Wonderful people, delicious food and a lovely place to meet. Repeat visitor. Highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed a delightful lunch at The Hidden Tearooms. Very quaint with a delicious choice on the menu. The cakes looked amazing. Unfortunately, time ran out to indulge, next time . Friendly service. Our food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented. The tearoom itself is very clean and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly with sausages on the menu
